Roedd angen torchi llewys ambell waith yn ystod y tymor er mwyn cwblhau ambell arbrawf wyddonol yn ymwneud â magnedau ac wrth gwrs wrth wneud ein platiau Celtaidd allan o glai, maent yn edrych yn wych! Mae’r plant wedi mwynhau’r thema ac roedd eu tarianau, cleddyfau a’u gwaeaffyn yn wych! Diolch yn fawr i bawb am eich ymdrechion; mae’r dosbarthiadau wedi bod yn lliwgar dros ben!
Ar ddechrau’r ail hanner tymor, aethom draw i Gaer i gael dysgu am y Rhufeiniaid. Cawsom ddiwrnod llawn gwybodaeth a chawsom gyfle i fartsio drwy Gaer, dan ofal ein tywysydd Matthew. Roedd yn braf gweld y plant yn mwynhau dysgu am hanes y rhufeiniaid yng Nghaer ac roedd gweld gwaith yr archeolegwyr yn ddiddorol iawn.
What an interesting journey we've had learning about the Celts and Romans! We've had a fun filled term learning about famous Celts and visiting a Roman Museum in Chester. We had the opportunity to meet with Buddug/Boudicca (‘In Character’ show) and hear about her battles against the Romans.
We had to roll our sleeves up during the term completing scientific experiments related to magnets and of course when making our Celtic plates out of clay, they looked great! The children enjoyed the theme and their shields, swords and spears were fantastic! Thank you to everyone for your efforts; the classes have been very colourful!
At the beginning of the second half term, we went to Chester to learn about the Romans. We had an informative day and we had the opportunity to march through Chester, with our guide, Matthew. We also saw what archaeologists have found in the city; a very interesting day.
