Diwedd blwyddyn arall!
Wel mae’r tymor yma wedi hedfan! Roedd pawb wedi ymddiddori yn ein thema ‘Gwlyb a Gwyllt!” Rhaid canmol ymdrech wych y plant gyda’u gwaith cartref ar y thema. Roedd Miss Griffiths yn ddiolchgar iawn am yr holl gyngor a’r ‘tips’ defnyddiol ar gyfer ei ‘Her Tri Copa’ ym Mis Awst.
Yn ogystal â dysgu am dywydd eithfol, cael esgus bod yn gyflwynwyr tywydd a dysgu am bwysigrwydd afonydd, bu i bawb fwynhau amrywiaeth o brofiadau arall y tymor yma. Diolch i Arfona Evans o’r Brennig am weithdai gwych yn dysgu am y system ddŵr (roedd y plant wedi synnu bod mwy i’r broses na troi’r tap ymlaen!). Roeddent wrth eu boddau yn cael cynnal ymchwiliadau a dysgu sut i arfed dŵr – gobeithio eu bod wedi rhannu eu canfyddiadau adref!
Yn ddiweddar, daeth grŵp brwdfrydig o Goleg y Bala i gynnal weithdy Rygbi gyda ni – yn cydfynd â thaith y Llewod yn Seland Newydd – cyfle i ddatblygu sgiliau rygbi, creu gemwaith Maori a llawer mwy!
Cawsom hefyd daith hwyliog i Eisteddfod Llangollen, yn cael profi gweithdai Celf, dawnsio, sgiliau syrcas a chael mynychu sioe diddannus yn y Pafiliwn!
Wrth groesawu dosbarthiadau Blwyddyn 3/4 newydd yn Mis Medi, edrychwn ymlaen at ein thema cyffrous ‘Byd Nad yw’n Bod!’ Cawn deithio i’r gofod, dysgu am chwedlau Cymreig, yn ogystal â archwilio i hanes ‘Tryweryn.’ Cawn gwrdd â chymeriad difyr ar ein taith hefyd!
Mae wedi bod yn flwyddyn prysur arall a praf iawn oedd gweld y plant yn datblygu ac yn dangos brwdfrydedd am eu themau. Hoffwn ddiolch i’r rhieni am eich cefnogaeth eto eleni.
Mwynhewch y gwyliau a’r amser i ymlacio!
The end of another year!
Well hasn’t this term flown! Everyone showed real enthusiasm for our topic ‘Wet and Wild!’ The fantastic effort with homework on the topic is to be praised Miss Griffiths was very grateful for all the advice and handy tips for her ‘Three Peaks Challenge’ in August!
As well as learning about extreme weather, being weather presenters and learning about the importance of rivers, we also enjoyed a variety of other experiences this term. Thank you to Arfona from the Brennig for her fantastic workshops on the water system (the children were shocked that there was so much more to the process than just switching on the tap!) They loved taking part in practical enquiries and learning how to save water – hopefully they shared their findings at home!)
Another fantastic opportunity recently was shared with an enthusiastic crew from Coleg Bala – a rugby workshop, coinciding with the ‘Lions’ tour in New Zealand. We practiced our rugby skills, made Maori jewellery and much more!
We had a great trip to Eisteddfod Llangollen, participating in Art, Dance and Circus Skill workshops as well as watching an entertaining show in the Pavilion.
As we welcome our new Year 3 and 4 classes in September, we look forward to our new topic ‘Out of This World’ We’ll be travelling in to Space, learning about Welsh myths, as well as exploring the history of ‘Tryweryn.’ We’ll be meeting a peculiar character along the way too!
It’s been another busy year and it’s been wonderful to see the children developing and engaging in their learning! We would like to take the opportunity to thank parents for their continued support again this year.
Have a wonderful Summer holidays!
