Yn yr wythnosau diwethaf rydym wedi bod yn cyflwyno y tywydd gan defnyddio yr app ‘Do inc’ a ‘sgrin werdd’. Mwynhaodd pawb esgus eu bod yn gyflwynwyr tywydd!
Yn ‘Geirio Gwych’ rydym wedi bod yn ysgrifennu adolygiad o’r llyfr ‘Y Wisg Enfys’. Roedd ‘Y Wisg Enfys’ yn lyfr anturus iawn, gydag ychydig o hud a lledrith! Bu pawb yn ymdrechu’n galed gyda’r gwaith yma, ac rydym yn argymell y llyfr yma i blant 7-11 oed. Yn ein gwersi mathemateg, rydym wedi bod yn gwneud gwaith ar onglau. Cafodd llawer o blant hwyl yn dysgu rhywbeth newydd, ac roeddem wrth ein boddau yn llunio a mesur gwahanol onglau ar y buarth.
Pythefnos yn ôl, bûm yn cyfansoddi cerddoriaeth i gynrychioli tywydd eithafol. Fe wnaeth pawb wylio eu perfformiad eu hunain a rhoi dwy seren a dymuniad i’w gwaith. Roeddem wrth ein boddau yn cyfansoddi, perfformio a gwerthuso!
Rydym hefyd wedi bod yn astudio goleuni fel rhan o’n gwaith gwyddoniaeth. Roedd yna 5 o weithgareddau amrywiol a’n hoff weithgaredd oedd yr arbrawf dŵr a’r pren mesur. Doedd Miss Griffiths ddim yn hapus iawn ar ôl gweld y dŵr ym mhob man!
Dros y diwrnodau diwethaf, rydym wedi bod yn gwneud gwaith ar afonydd Cymru. Cafodd pawb ddarn o linyn i fesur yr afonydd ar y map, ac yna defnyddio graddfa i fesur hyd yr afonydd. Mwynhaodd bawb ymarfer eu sgiliau mesur, ac rydym yn gallu enwi nifer o afonydd Cymru nawr!
Mae wedi bod yn dymor prysur tu hwnt yn llawn hwyl. Uchafbwynt y tymor i lawer ohonom oedd ein ymweliad â Llanberis wythnos yma. Dysgom ni lawer iawn am y Mynydd Gwefru ac am sut mae pwerdai dŵr yn gweithio. Gwefr oedd cael mentro i fyny at gastell Dolbadarn hefyd, gan ei fod yn cysylltu â’n thema tymor y Gwanwyn sef ‘Nôl Mewn Amser’.

In the past few weeks, we have been presenting the weather by using the app ‘Do inc’ Green Screen. Everyone enjoyed pretending to be S4C weather reporters!
In our ‘Big Write’ sessions we have been writing a review of the Welsh story ‘Y Wisg Enfys’. The story was adventurous and magical; everyone enjoyed it! The characters were mischievous and everyone worked hard on their book review in our Geirio Gwych writing session. We recommend this book to 7-11 year olds.
Recently, we have been drawing and measuring angles across the yard. This was lots of fun, especially with the sun shining down on us! Everyone enjoyed learning something new, and we have gained confidence using a protractor. Well done everybody!
A fortnight ago we composed and performed music to represent different kinds of extreme weather. Everyone watched their performance back on the ipads and gave their performances two stars and a wish. It was a lot of fun!
Our recent Science topic was light. We have been learning about the different types of light sources, and completed five different activities. The most popular activity was the water and ruler task – brilliant! However, Miss Griffiths wasn’t too happy when she saw the water everywhere!
Over the past two days we have been busy learning about Welsh rivers. Everyone got a piece of string to measure the rivers and we use gradient to measure the rivers’ lengths. It was a chance to improve our measuring skills and learn the names of nearby rivers.
It has been an extremely busy term, full of exciting opportunities. The highlight of this term for most of us was our educational visit to Llanberis. We visited the Electric Mountain (and even went underground into the mountain itself!). We learnt a lot about how power stations work, and how we get our electricity. It was also a pleasure to venture up to Dolbadarn Castle, as we studied Llywelyn in our previous topic ‘Back in Time’.
