Wel am daith a hanner rydym wedi ei gael y tymor yma wrth deithio ‘Nol Mewn Amser’ i oes y tywysogion! Rydym wedi mwynhau dysgu am chwedl Gelert, sut oedd bywyd yn oes y tywysogion, cyflogau’r gweithwyr a llawer mwy!
Ar ddiwrnod glawog ym Mis Chwefror, cawsom ddiwrnod anturus yn teithio i Feddgelert ac yna ymlaen i Gaernarfon. Er gwaethaf y glaw, cawsom gyfle i gerdded drwy bentref Beddgelert ac at y bedd. Gwelsom hwyaid yn nofio ar yr afon ac ambell ddafad yn y cae. Roedd yn gyfle da i ddod a’n gwybodaeth i gyd at ei gilydd a gwerthfawrogi’r cynhefin o’n hamgylch. Ar ôl gweld delw o Gelert, aethom yn ôl ar y bws ac i fyny i Gaernarfon. Wrth gael ein tywys o amgylch y castell, cawsom wybodaeth am y castell a chyfle i wagu’r siop! Yn anffodus, roedd traffig trwm ar yr A55, ond cyrhaeddom yn ôl, wedi blino’n lân.
Yn ystod y tymor, rydym wedi dysgu llawer am ddiogelwch ar y wê. Cawsom ymweliad gan PC Mark ar ddechrau’r tymor, lle bu’m yn dysgu rheolau ‘SMART’. Yna aethom ati i weithio gyda’n gilydd er mwyn trafod pa bethau sy’n briodol ac amrhiodol, sut i fod yn wyliadwrus a sut mae trin pobl eraill ar lein.
Wrth ddathlu Dydd Gwyl Ddewi, cawsom gystadlu brwd ym mlwyddyn 3 a 4. Da iawn chi blant am ddysgu’ch geiriau mor dda. Llongyfarchiadau i bawb!
Ein thema y tymor nesaf fydd ‘Gwyllt a Gwlyb’. Diolch i’r plant a chi fel rhieni am roi syniadau ac eich barn ar y thema. Mi fydd digon o weithgareddau bywiog a diddorol i ysgogi’r plant gyda’u dysgu a gobeithio y byddent yn mwynhau datblygu eu sgiliau drwy’r thema.
Pasg hapus i chwi gyd!
What a great adventure we have had being 'Time Travellers' – travelling all the way back to the medieval era. We have enjoyed learning about the legend of Gelert, how it was to live back in medieval time, worker’s wages, what they ate and much more!
On a rainy day in February, we had a day of adventure travelling to Beddgelert and then on to Caernarfon. Despite the rain, we had an opportunity to walk through the village of Beddgelert and to the grave. We saw ducks swimming on the river and a few sheep in the field. The experience was a good opportunity to bring our knowledge about Llywelyn and Gelert together and gave us a chance to appreciate the surrounding areas, imagining how they roamed the area. After seeing a statue of Gelert, we went back on the bus and up to Caernarfon. We were fortunate to have guides to guide us around the castle who gave us an opportunity to learn more facts about the castle and learn about its history. We even had time to empty the souvenirs shop! Unfortunately, there was heavy traffic on the A55. However, we got back in one piece albeit tired!
During the term, we've had the opportunity to learn a lot about internet safety. At the beginning of the term, we had a visit from PC Mark who taught us the ‘SMART’ rules. Following this, we were able to work together in order to discuss what is appropriate and inappropriate online, how to be vigilant and how to treat others online.
During our St David's Day celebrations, we had a super competition between pupils in years 3 and 4. Thank you to the children for learning all the pieces so well. Congratulations to everyone!
Our theme next term is 'Wet and Wild'. Thank you to the children and you as parents who gave ideas and shared opinions on the theme. There will be plenty of fun activities to stimulate the children’s learning and we hope they will enjoy developing their skills through the theme.
Happy Easter to you all!
