Mae disgyblion Blwyddyn 1 a 2 wedi setlo yn wych i drefniadau’r Uned Dan 7 a phawb wrth eu boddau yn bod yn nol yn yr ysgol ar ôl cyfnod mor hir. Mae pawb wedi mwynhau ein thema am yr hanner tymor sef ‘Y Gryffalo’. Yn ystod yr hanner tymor rydym ni wedi defnyddio’r stori boblogaidd yma i sbarduno ein dychymyg ac i arwain ein gwaith dosbarth. Rydym ni wedi defnyddio iaith ddisgrifiadol wrth i ni gasglu ansoddeiriau am y Gryffalo ac ymarfer defnyddio’r patrymau brawddeg gywir wrth ddisgrifio ni ein hunain. Fel rhan o’n gwaith Gwybodaeth a Dealltwriaeth o’r Byd, buom yn astudio anifeiliaid y goedwig a’r gadwyn fwyd. Cawsom nifer o gyfleoedd i fwynhau ymgyfarwyddo â’r stori a’r cymeriadau, yn ogystal â’r awdures sef Julia Donaldson. Dros yr wythnosau diwethaf, mae’r plant wedi mwynhau actio’r stori gyda phypedau, gwneud het cymeriad o’r stori, a mesur olion traed y creaduriaid( i enwi ambell weithgaredd!). Rydym ni wedi bod yn ymarfer mewngofnodi ar Hwb a defnyddio’r adnoddau J2e er mwyn creu lluniau o’r stori yn ogystal â chreu pictogram neu graff i ddangos hoff gymeriad y dosbarth. Cofiwch edrych ar gyfrif Seesaw eich plentyn bob Dydd Gwener i weld rhagor o weithgareddau’r Uned Dan 7.
Year 1 and 2 pupils have settled into the Under 7’s Unit really well and are all enjoying being back at school after such a long period of time at home. They have shown enthusiasm towards our theme for the half term; ‘The Gruffalo’. We have used this popular story to spark our imaginations and help us plan our class work. We have been using descriptive language by collecting adjectives to describe the Gruffalo and practising using the correct sentence patterns when describing ourselves. As part of our Knowledge and Understanding of the World work, we studied forest animals and the food chain. There has been numerous opportunities to enjoy familiarising ourselves with the story and characters, as well as the author, Julia Donaldson. Over the past few weeks, the children have enjoyed acting out the story using puppets, making a hat of a character from the story, and measuring the footprints of the different animals (to name just a few activities!). We have been practising logging in to Hwb in order to use the resources on J2e to create pictures from the story and also to create a pictogram or graph of the class’ favourite character. Remember to check your child’s Seesaw account every Friday to see more of what we’ve been up to in the Under 7’s Unit.
