Unwaith eto, rydym wedi mwynhau tymor prysur a llawn hwyl. Roedd y plant wrth eu boddau gyda’n thema ‘Môr Ladron’, ac wedi cael hwyl yn yr ardaloedd chwarae rôl yn smalio mai hwy oedd ‘Barti Ddu’ neu ‘Blackbeard’! Ambell waith roedd son am gipio llongau, claddu trysor a ‘cherdded y planc’! Roedd y plant wedi bod yn brysur iawn yn cynllunio a chreu het môr leidr eu hunain, yn dysgu sut i ddarllen map drysor a dysgu am fôr ladron enwog. Yn ein gwersi Geirio Gwych, bu’r plant yn creu poster ‘Yn Eisiau’ ac yn ysgrifennu erthygl papur newydd am ‘Ben Dant’ yn glanio ar draeth Talacre! Yn ogystal â hyn, cawsom wythnos ‘Corff a Meddwl Iach’ ym mis Mai- buom yn gwneud bagiau lafant, ymlacio i gerddoriaeth, gwneud (a bwyta!) cebabs ffrwythau ac yn mwynhau gweithgareddau ffitrwydd yn yr ardal tu allan. Daeth y tymor prysur i ben gyda dau drip- ein hymweliad blynyddol i’r Jambori dan ofal Martin Geraint, a’r trip ardderchog i Rhyl, lle buom yn ymweld â’r RNLI a’r SeaQuarium.
Diolch i’r holl rieni am eich cefnogaeth drwy’r flwyddyn, a phob lwc i’r plant wrth iddynt symud ymlaen i’r cyfnod nesaf yn eu bywyd yn Ysgol Gwenffrwd.
Once again, we have enjoyed a very busy term full of fun. The children thoroughly enjoyed our ‘Pirates’ theme and had fun pretending they were ‘Barti Ddu’ or ‘Blackbeard’ in the role play areas. Very often there was talk of stealing ships, burying treasure and ‘walking the plank’! The children have been very busy designing and creating their own pirate hat, learning how to read a treasure map and learning about famous pirates. In our Big Write lessons, the children created a ‘Wanted’ poster and wrote a newspaper article about ‘Ben Dant’ landing on Talacre beach! In addition, we had our ‘Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds’ week- we made lavender bags, relaxed to music, made (and ate!) fruit kebabs and enjoyed fitness activities in our outdoor area. The very busy term ended with two outings- the annual Jamboree with the ever popular Martin Geraint, and a fantastic trip to Rhyl, where the children enjoyed a visit to the RNLI and the SeaQuarium.
Thank you to all the parents for your support throughout the year, and good luck to the children as they move on to the next stage of their school life in Ysgol Gwenffrwd.
