Rydym wedi bod yn brysur dros ben yn ystod yr hanner tymor cyntaf!
Dechreuon ni'r hanner tymor yn araf, gan sicrhau fod ein disgyblion i gyd yn teimlo'n hapus ac yn ddiogel. Rydym wedi siarad llawer am ein teimladau ac ein hemosiynau.
Buan rydym wedi dod i weld fod y plant yn hapus i ddychwelyd i drefn a strwythur ysgol.
Hyfryd yw gweld disgyblion y Derbyn gyda'i gilydd unwaith eto a theimlo rhan o'n teulu Gwenffrwd. Mae plant y Meithrin wedi setlo yn fendigedig. Dechrau gwych i'r flwyddyn addysgol.
Mae ein thema 'Pwy ydw i?' wedi bod yn llawer o hwyl, hyd yma. Rydym wedi dysgu llawer amdanom ni ein hunain ac ein gilydd.
Yn ein sesiynau Iaith, rydym wedi dysgu amdanom ni, ein teuluoedd, ein cyrff a dylanwad Addysg Gorfforol ar ein cyrff.
Yn ystod yr wythnosau diwethaf, rydym wedi mwynhau stori Yr Hugan Fach Goch. Rydym wedi defnyddio dull Pie Corbett i greu symudiadau i gofio'r stori. Hyfryd yw gweld plant y Derbyn yn defnyddio geirfa a brawddegau o'r stori wrth greu storiâu eu hunain. Roedd y plant i gyd wrth eu boddau yn creu map stori enfawr o'r stori. Mae pawb wedi bod am daith dychmygol trwy'r goedwig gan ddilyn y llwybr stori. Da iawn chi!
Yn ein sesiynau mathemateg, rydym wedi cyfri bysedd, mesur traed a chymharu taldra. Rydym wedi creu graff i ddangos lliw gwallt a llygaid y plant.
Wythnos yma, rydym wedi derbyn llythyr a pharsel gan yr Hugan Fach Goch. Bydd y plant yn mwynhau ymateb iddi ac ymchwilio beth sydd yn y bocs.
Hanner Tymor prysur ond hapus. Rydym yn falch iawn o'r plant i gyd am fwynhau dysgu. Diolch i chi gyd am eich cydweithrediad parhaus.
We have been incredibly busy during the first half term!
We began the term slowly, ensuring our pupils were feeling happy and safe. We have talked a lot about our feelings and emotions. It didn’t take long for us to realise that all they wanted was structure and school routine! It has been wonderful seeing our Reception pupils reunite and feel part of their Gwenffrwd family once again. Our phased return was a success and our Nursery pupils have settled in so quickly. A great start to the year!
Our topic ‘Who am I? ' this term is turning out to be a great deal of fun! We have learnt a lot about ourselves and each other.
In literacy sessions we have enjoyed learning about us, our family, parts of our body and how our body changes during P. E. Over the last couple of weeks, we have enjoyed the story of the Little Red Riding Hood and learnt actions to help remember the story. Our reception class children are using the words and phrases they have learnt when they are creating their own stories. Da iawn chi!
Using the enormous story map they all helped create, they have all been going on an adventure through the forest.
In our mathematics sessions, we have counted our fingers, measured our feet and compared heights. We created a graph to show how many children have blue/ green/ brown eyes.
This week, we have received a letter and a parcel from Little Red Riding Hood. The children will have an exciting week responding to her.
A busy but happy half term, lots of giggles and fun! We are very proud of all our pupils and we know they have progressed so much already this term. Thank you everyone for your continued support.
