Croeso yn ôl i bawb ar ôl cyfnod o orffwys dros y Nadolig. Edrychwn ymlaen i ddechrau ar ein thema newydd, Glas, Glas Blaned. Yn ystod y tymor, byddwn yn astudio’r topig cyfoes o newid hinsawdd a beth yw ei effaith arnom yma yng Nghymru ac ar draws y byd, yn ogystal â dysgu am sut i warchod yr amgylchedd a bod yn ddinasyddion da er mwyn sicrhau bod ein glas, glas blaned yn parhau. Yn sgil hynny, byddwn yn cadw golwg manwl ar y newyddion lleol ac ar draws y byd. Gobeithio cawn hefyd gyfle i greu bwletin newyddion ein hunain.
Byddwn yn astudio’r llyfr Cymraeg, Tŵr at yr Haul sydd yn lyfr gyda neges bwysig am sut i warchod a gwerthfawrogi ein planed. Rydym hefyd yn gyffrous i fynd i’r afael â’r nofel arbennig, Sky Hawk gan Gill Lewis a fydd yn arwain ein hastudiaeth o adar, eu cynefinoedd a’u mudiant o wledydd megis y Gambia.
Edrychwn ymlaen hefyd at ymweliad Blwyddyn 4 â Glan-llyn fis Mawrth, cyfle i gyd-weithio, cyd-chwarae a chael blasu her neu ddau newydd.
Welcome back after a well deserved break over Christmas. We are eager to start our new topic, Glas, Glas Blaned. During the term, we will be looking at the very topical issue of climate change and the effect it has on us here in Wales and the wider world. We will also be learning about what we can do protect the environment and how to be responsible citizens to ensure the sustainability of our planet. As a result, we’ll be closely following local and world wide news stories with the aim of creating our very own news bulletin.
This term, we will be reading the Welsh book, Tŵr at yr Haul which is a story with an important message about how to look after and appreciate our planet. We are also looking forward to reading Sky Hawk by Gill Lewis as an introduction to our work on birds, their habitats and their migration from countries such as the Gambia.
We are also looking foward to Year 4’s trip to Glan-llyn in March, an opportunity to socialise, work as a team and experience some new challenges.
